He was a member of Masonville Mennonite Church, Washington Boro and was additionally a member of the Sunday School. Funeral Service was September 26, 2009 on the Masonville Mennonite Church Pastor Robert L. Kanagy and Pastor J. Wilmer Eby officiated. Keener, John E., 95, of Conestoga View, Lancaster, PA previously Millersville, PA died September 21, 2009 at LGH. Interment was in the Millerville Mennonite Cemetery, Millersville, PA.

She was married for sixty four years to John Emory Keeport, who handed away on May 8, 1997. Bertha was a member of Millersville Mennonite Church, Millersville, PA. She previously held memberships at Shady Pine Mennonite Church, Willow Hill, PA and Stricklers Mennonite Church, Middletown, PA. Robert served three years in Civilian Public Service in Clearspring, Md., and Medaryville, Ind.; served as pastor at the Bethel Mennonite Church, Rittman, Ohio; treasurer of the Mennonite General Conference of North America, 1951-1963. Robert served as Goshen College's director of development, director of public relations, and enterprise supervisor. He was a member of Salem Ridge Mennonite Church, Greencastle, PA. Elva was a member of the Salem Ridge Mennonite Church of Greencastle, PA. Funeral service was January 19, 2009 at Salem Ridge Mennonite Church. Keener, George Showalter, 69, of Chambersburg, PA died January 16, 2009 at Menno Haven Retirement Community, Chambersburg, PA. Surrived by his spouse and five youngsters, Darwin H. Keener of Lancaster, PA; Diane Lehman and husband Dale of Chambersburg, PA; Denise Herr and husband Bryan of Quarryville, PA; G. David Keener and spouse Joylynn of East Petersburg, PA and Dorinda Henesy and husband Greg of Hagerstown, Md; and thirteen grandchildren. Survivied by two daughters: Anna Mary Shultz and Betty J., spouse of Raymond Gerhart all of Lancaster, PA; a son-in-legislation: Glenn R. Kreider of Holtwood, PA; a sister: Verna I. Keeport of Lancaster, PA; a brother-in-law: Abram M. Shenk of Lititz, PA; eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Survived by ten children: James E., husband of Sara Ann Keener, Mount Joy, PA; Ruby, wife of Don Gochnauer, Manheim, PA; Linda, wife of Warren Tyson, Brownstown, PA; Bob, husband of Rhoda Keener, Shippensburg, PA; Paul, husband of Marian Keener, Dry Run, PA; Fred A. Keener, Dry Run, PA; Sharon, wife of Jerry Yeager, Dry Run, PA; Dan, husband of Althea Keener, Lancaster, PA; Joanna, wife of John Colby, Carlisle, PA; Reba, spouse of John L. Shuman, Mount Joy, PA; 29 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and a sister, Edith, spouse of Paul Rohrer. Predeceased by her dad and mom Michael and Lucille (Fazio) Bongiovanni; she is survived by her husband of forty four years Lawrence E. Miller; son and daughter-in-legislation Lawrence M. and Ann Marie Miller; daughter and son-in-law Kristin and Alexander Rakow; grandchildren Annabelle and Noah Rakow; and sister and brother-in-law Gail Bongiovanni and Everett Nissly. She is survived by her husband of forty eight years, Cyrus E. Kulp of Auburn, NY; 4 sons Lester K. Kulp of Middlebury, Indiana, Ivan K. (Ethal Kulp) of new Holland, PA, Nelson K. (Nancy) Kulp of Lititz, PA, Harvey (Shelley) Kulp of Mercer, MO; a daughter Mary J. Fowler of Rochester, thirteen grandchildren; 3 brothers Paul (Naomi) Kilmer of Mifflinburg, PA, Ezra (Ella) Kilmer, Jr. of Farmersville, PA, Ephraim (Lydia) Kilmer of Penn Yan; 2 sisters Erma spouse of Irvin Frey of Mt. Forest, Canada, Lena wife of Clarence Martin of Middlebury, Indiana; quite a few aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, and cousins.

Survivied by her siblings and spouses; Samuel Kemp of Kalona, IA; Elmer Kemp of Arthur, IL; Alta (Elmer G.) Miller of Kalona, IA; Alvin (Rachel) Kemp of Wellman, IA; Edna (Milford) Yoder of Wellman, IA; Noah (Linda) Kemp of Kalona, IA; Mary Jane (Stanley Doyle) Yoder, Sr. of Ozark, MO, a sister-in-legislation, Betty Kemp of Iowa City, IA and a household pal, Carol Bekker of Iowa City, IA. She was preceded in demise by her mother and father, three brothers, Henry, Omer and Maynard, one sister Fannie Kemp, two sisters-in-regulation, Elizabeth Kemp and Ella Kemp and two nieces Angela Kemp and Carol Kemp Miller. Surviving along with his wife are two kids, Kathryn R. Keener, of Phoenix, AZ and J. Charles Keener, of Claymont, DE; 3 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; a brother, Lester Keener married to Mary, of Ephrata, PA and a sister, Elizabeth Keener, of Lancaster, PA.
