Annabelle would stay dormant till 12 years later in 1955 when the Mullins couple opens their dwelling to offer shelter for Sister Charlotte and the orphans of St. Eustace after the closing of their orphanage. Surviving are a sister-in-regulation, Gladys Kennel, Lititz; one nephew; two nieces; and a foster sister. He also leaves behind his sister Ruth Miller, brothers-in-legislation Gary Forman and John Boyko, and nieces and nephews Amy Forman and Jeff and Harrison Fischer of Decatur, GA, and Ben, Lorine, Carter, and Max Forman of Doylestown, PA. Kennel, Ruth Elizabeth, 87, of Harrisonburg, VA, died February 9, 2009 at Oak Lea Nursing Home. Kulp, Gladys Derstine, 88, of Harrisonburg, VA died there on February 14, 2009. She was born February 7, 1921 at Franconia, PA to Edwin A. and Elizabeth (Krupp) Derstine. She was a member of the East Chestnut Street Mennonite Church, Lancaster, PA. She was a member of the Lost Creek Mennonite Church served as a Sunday college trainer. Funeral service was July 7, 2009 at Lost Creek Mennonite Church with Pastor Roy Brubaker officiating. She was especially recognized for her clear soprano voice as she led singing in church worship providers and different particular music through the years. Memorial services had been held May 24, 2009 at Bethel Mennonite Church West Liberty, OH with burial in South Union Mennonite Cemetery, West Liberty, OH. Memorial providers have been held July 12, 2009 at Albany Mennonite Church, Albany, Oregon with burial within the adjoining cemetery. She was born May 2, 1916 at Hubbard, Oregon to Daniel W. and Sarah E. (Roth) Good. Three brothers, Ed Good, Harry Good, and Alvin Good preceded her in dying. Surviving are children, Beverly (John) Stoltzfus, Linda (Paul) Hostetler, Mary (Claude Denslow) Boldman, David (Mary) King, Dwight (Dixie) King, and Alvin (Karen) King, thirteen grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-nice-grandchild. Agnes was preceded in dying by four siblings, Ivie, Mary, Paul and Aldus Wingard.
King, Agnes M. Wingard, age 90, of the Mennonite Home, Lancaster, PA formerly of Atglen, PA died May 21, 2009. She was born in Johnstown, PA, to Alonzo & Ella Johns Wingard. King, Blake David, was stillborn December 21, 2009. at Women and Babies Hospital to Samuel and Juanita Stoltzfus King of Mount Joy, PA. King, Dorothy M. Hartzler, 98, of West Liberty, Logan Co., OH died May 21, 2009 at Bellefontaine, Logan Co., Ohio after complications from surgery. Born May 19, 1917, in Belleville, Mifflin Co., PA to Jonas R. and Elizabeth V. (Summers) Yoder. Survived by her husband Roland and 4 children: Roland J. King, Jr., and his wife Cathy, of Mifflintown, PA; Mark Y. King and his spouse Lois, of Port Royal, PA; Roy T. King and his spouse Fran, of Mifflintown, PA and Janice E. Casner and her husband Rick, of Mifflintown, PA; one sister, Grace Moore, of Penns Creek, PA and three brothers, Newton Yoder and his wife Mary of new Columbia, PA John R. Yoder and his wife Marjorie, of Richfield, PA and Leon Yoder, of McAlisterville, PA. Reverend Shirlee K. Yoder. She served as a nurse with Mennonite Central Committee in Indonesia through the 1950's. She was an associate member of Park View Mennonite Church in Harrisonburg.
An avid quilter, Mae made, and helped make numerous quilts for Mennonite church and WMS fundraisers over a few years, including quilts she made for some of her grandchildren. A gifted musician, artist and teacher, Mae served the church for over 50 years leading music, singing, playing piano, and educating Sunday school. Burial might be in the adjoining church cemetery. Memorial providers have been held January 12, 2009 at Scottdale Mennonite Church, Scottdale, PA with burial in the adjoining cemetery. Interment befell prior to the memorial service within the Millwood Mennonite Cemetery, Gap, PA. Memorial providers were held April 16, 2009 at Albany Mennonite Church, Albany Oregon. Kief, Nellie C. Good, 93, of Albany, Linn County, Oregon died June 26, 2009 at the identical place. On June 18, 1947, she married Willard Kennel, formerly of Shickley, Nebraska, and they started married life on a small farm near Scio. Her husband of more than 67 years, Roland J. King, Sr., whom she married on June 6, 1942, survives. King, 12 grandchildren, 9 step-grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, thirteen step great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. Surviving are youngsters, Judy (Kief) Bacher, Jewell (Kief) Stanley, Ron Kief, and Jim Kief, 12 grandchildren, 12 nice-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Della Hofstetter.
